The curriculum reflects that of teaching students to respect both the human and physical environment which surrounds us. It prepares students to fully appreciate that technology is a reality which will continue to play a major role as years progress. To that end, our students are encouraged to develop more thoughtful and environmentally sound ways of managing and utilizing the resources that surround us. One of these is sustainable design – utilizing and manipulating technology in a more socially and ethically responsible manner towards our environment. This, above all, is of utmost importance for architecture and design students to appreciate how their actions (as future architects and designers) will impact their environment and the world. NYIT has a campus in Old Westbury, NY and in Manhattan.
